A Message From The County Attorney

While this year, 2015, the Black Hawk County Attorneys Office has experienced many new changes.  Brian J. Williams was appointed as the County Attorney on December 1, 2015.

It is an honor and privilege to represent you as your County Attorney. My staff works hard to justify the confidence you have placed in us.

Through the years as your County Attorney, we have emphasized vigorous prosecution and defendant accountability; assisting victims, aggressively prosecuting violent crime; and instituting effective programs while carefully using taxpayer dollars.

We have strongly supported and participate in Specialty Courts like the Black Hawk County Adult Drug Court. These programs are an effective in addressing underlying issues of the defendant and assisting them in reclaiming their lives and becoming contributing members of our community.

We take our mission seriously of letting justice be done. Through the efforts of our dedicated employees and collaborative working relationships with other county departments, with state, local and federal law enforcement agencies, and with public and private sectors alike, we continue to strive to make Black Hawk County safer and improve the quality of life in our communities.
